Leader's notes

Most years the Western larches turn gold in late October. I am hoping to enjoy fall color while the road is still driveable (a little rough, but most cars should make it. It is snow and ice I am worried about). If the day is fine we will ascend the ridge for the view and head toward the Funny Rocks. I don't know how funny they are, but it doesn't add much in mileage.
