Day Hike - Frog Mountain

The newest trail in the newest wilderness area in Washington state. Situated on a west-facing slope adorned with meadows and, on a clear day, views of Glacier, Sloan, and Kyes peaks from the summit.

  • High Point Elevation: 4,872 ft
  • Pace: 1.5-2.0 mph avg moving pace
  • 8:15 am, Monroe P&R, 17433 Stevens Pass Hwy, Monroe, WA 98272 (google map link). Carpools can be arranged from here. We'll depart promptly at 8:30 am; so, plan for any traffic and don't be late.
  • From Monroe P&R, approximately 100 miles roundtrip to TH. Plan $10. to reimburse your carpool driver.

  • Steady uphill climb, lots of switchbacks. Our ascending pace will be slower than our descending pace.
  • This is not the hike for you if you want to go faster than 1.5-2.0 mph (overall avg moving). I like to keep the group within sight of one another.  I expect to finish the hike around 3pm-ish. This means possible traffic congestion on the way home. Please be comfortable with this style.
