The newest trail in the newest wilderness area in Washington state. Situated on a west-facing slope adorned with meadows and, on a clear day, views of Glacier, Sloan, and Kyes peaks from the summit.

Meeting place and time

8:15 am, Monroe P&R, 17433 Stevens Pass Hwy, Monroe, WA 98272 (google map link). Carpools can be arranged from here. We'll depart promptly at 8:30 am; so, plan for any traffic and don't be late.
From Monroe P&R, approximately 100 miles roundtrip to TH. Plan $10. to reimburse your carpool driver.

Leader's notes

Steady uphill climb, lots of switchbacks. Our ascending pace will be slower than our descending pace.
This is not the hike for you if you want to go faster than 1.5-2.0 mph (overall avg moving). I like to keep the group within sight of one another. I expect to finish the hike around 3pm-ish. This means possible traffic congestion on the way home. Please be comfortable with this style.
