Overnight bikepacking (and short hike) trip to the only natural backcountry hot springs in Olympic National Park. PLEASE READ LEADER's NOTES.

  • Mileage: 24.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 2,500 ft

We will meet at the Madision Falls TH on Saturday morning.

The main objective of the trip is to reach Boulder Creek Campground and visit and bathe in Olympic Hot Springs.  For newer bikepackers this will be a worthwhile trip in itself. Please note that the last 2 miles of the route to the campground is closed to bikes so participants need to be able to transfer gear to a pack and carry it to camp. If the participants desire an additional hike to Boulder Lake  may be an option on the second day before heading back to the trailhead.

Interested members who do not yet have the bikepacking student or bikepacking course badge can email leader if they feel they have equivalent experience, skills and gear.

The Boulder Creek campsite require backcountry permits which are $8/person. Please reach out to leader as soon as you register to provide required information to obtain the permit online.

Vaccinated individuals only!
