Basic Snowshoe - Wenatchee Crest

A snowshoe exploration along the Wenatchee Crest to Cairn Hill.

From I-90 East take Exit 52 towards Summit West. We'll meet at 8am at the Travelers Rest Area (mile marker 1 on SR 906) its a public Rest Area. https://goo.gl/maps/CoYrt4st6z7J9Cd59

After a quick Rendezvous & check in we will promptly proceed to the Blewett Pass Sno-Park: Wenatchee Crest Skiing and Snowshoe Trailhead https://goo.gl/maps/nzF14R2P8cU6y39MA

Note a Non-Motorized Sno-Park Permit will be required for parking at the trailhead.

On a clear day, the views from the Wenatchee Crest are excellent so as visibility permits we will be taking in the vistas along the crest and looking for key peaks and features of interest.  We will travel above the forest service road, along the ridge as much as possible, aiming for Cairn Hill (if conditions are favorable). It will be fun to snowshoe off road.  The pace a saunter with some stops for photo-ops.

As always, with winter adventures, weather and avalanche conditions may necessitate a change in venue.

COVID vaccination is required for this outing.
