Trip

Basic Snowshoe - Olallie Lake (winter)

Exercise your shiny new Christmas snowshoes on a trip to an alpine lake.

  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 7.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 1,900 ft

We will consolidate carpools at the Issaquah Transit Center at 8:00 am, lower level.

As the holiday season winds to a close, let's escape back outside with a snowshoe outing to Olallie Lake. The trip will start at the Pratt Lake/Granite Peak trailhead at Exit 47.  This is a low-elevation trailhead just off I-90 west of the pass, and so is reachable by any passenger vehicle suited to the weather and road conditions of the day.

I encourage you to bring any goodie leftovers to share at the lake!

Please note: Basic Snowshoe students must have completed their course field trip to be eligible for this trip (unless they already are Scramble or Climb graduates).

As with all snowshoe trips, destination is subject to change, or trip to cancellation, based on snow/weather/avalanche conditions.
