Basic Glacier Climb - Ruth Mountain & Icy Peak Traverse

This climb is intended for Kitsap Basic students that are in need of a glacier climb. Other branches may be added based on the person's need for a glacier climb to complete course requirements and if there are open slots close to the climb date. If you are not a Kitsap Basic student, please do not contact the leader prior to June 1, 2024 to inquire if there may be openings.

Meet at the trailhead on Saturday early AM with time to be confirmed with participants.

The approach to the climb and the climb offer spectacular views of the north  and east sides of Mt. Baker.

We will climb Ruth Mtn. and may or may not climb Icy Peak.

Bring the necessary glacier gear. Be sure to test any new gear BEFORE the climb.

We will coordinate on shared gear, such as stoves, fuel canisters, water filters, etc. to minimize extra gear.
