From US-2 in Leavenworth drive Icicle Creek Road (Forest Road 76) for 8.4 miles. Turn left on Eightmile Road (Forest Road 7601), about one mile past Eightmile Campground and signed Lake Stuart/Colchuck Lake.  Continue 3.8 miles to the trailhead (3,400 ft).  Final travel arrangements, dates, and times TBD as we approach the target date.

The objectives for the climb  are:

  • Have fun and enjoy each other's company.
  • Make for the summit, conditions permitting.
  • Return to the trailhead safe and sound.
On this trip we expect to move continuously as a group at a moderately steady pace with at least one 5 minute rest break every hour/1,000 feet of elevation gain until we reach our destination where we'll have a 15-20 minute rest break for lunch, before returning to the trailhead.  Leader will provide access to a trip planning document for the confirmed roster and those on the waitlist for group gear assignments.  A "Welcome Climbers" confirming email will be issued to the roster no less than 72 hours before the activity with finalized details.
