Meet at Fields Point Landing at 8:30am on May 2.

This trip is a mentored lead for Christy Cherrier.

Participants will need to purchase tickets on the Lady Express ferry in advance of the trip. Round trip cost is $86. There is also a charge for overnight parking at Fields Point Landing. Do not purchase ferry tickets until the leader has confirmed your participation on this trip. https://ladyofthelake.com/

Day 1- Meet at Fields Point Landing no later than 8:30am. This is a 3-3.5 hour drive from Seattle. Purchase parking passes and board the ferry for a 9:20am departure. The ferry will drop us off at Prince Creek at 10:00am. We'll hike 10.7 miles from Prince Creek to Moore Point, where we'll spend the night. Moore Point is a large campsite with water access and vault toilets.

Day 2- Hike 7 miles from Moore Point to Stehekin, where we'll camp at the Purple Point campground. We'll have the afternoon and evening to explore Stehekin or just hang out and relax at camp.

Day 3- We'll have some more time to enjoy Stehekin and visit the bakery before departing on the 12:30pm ferry. We'll arrive back at Fields Point Landing at 2:10pm for the drive home.

This is a nice moderate trip to kick off the summer backpacking season, but it should not be your first hike of the year. When requesting leader permission, please tell me about the hikes you've done in the past two months, as well as some recent backpacking trips you've done. Include the distance, elevation gain, and duration.
