We’ll avoid the weekend crowds in this beautiful area with tarns below and the Canadian Cascades to our north. One of the few easy scrambles in the Mt. Baker area and the North Cascades.

Meet at 7:30 a.m. in Bellingham to consolidate carpools into vehicles with the highest ground clearance for the final rough section of FS road.. Get off I5 at Exit 255. Turn right or east on the Mt. Baker Hwy. (542). Turn left at the first light into Sunset Square. Turn right again and park east of Skagit Bank.
Aug. 1, Wed. – Yellow Aster Butte, (USGS Mt. Larrabee & GT Mt. Shuksan. 8 mi. & 3,160’ elev. gain. Pace will be moderate with breaks for views and snacks. A treat to share is always welcome. Party limit is 8. Meet at 7:30 a.m. in Bellingham to consolidate carpools into vehicles with the highest ground clearance for the final rough section of FS road.
