A very beautiful and strenuous loop scramble (~15 miles and ~5000') past Comet Falls and through Van Trump Park to a convenient high point near 8000' on the cleaver just west of the Wilson Glacier.   To ensure a safe and enjoyable time attendees should complete cross country scrambles of at least 4000' elevation gain just prior to this trip.

This trip starts and ends at Longmire with ascent via the Wonderland trail/Comet falls trail, and descent by way of the Rampart Ridge trail back to Longmire.  We will be doing a bit of cross country map and compass travel between the Cougar Rock Picnic Area and the Comet falls trailhead to achieve the loop.

Photos from portions of this trip can be seen here.
