Meet at 6:45 AM in Buckley on the street by the skateboard park. There is good street parking and a port-potty. Address is 230 S River Rd Buckley, WA 98321. Coordinates are 47.1603673,-122.0317958, (paste those into your phone GPS)
This is a Rainier-100 peak near the Carbon River. It requires riding bikes 3 miles up the road to the trailhead, (which is only about 1/2 way to Ipsut Creek). I have an extra mountain bike if somebody wants to borrow it.
The scramble is said to be fairly tough with an expected duration of 8-10 hours.
See the "Guide to 100 peaks at Mount Rainier", (available for download on Amazon) for more details.
FYI: I WILL BE OUT OF TOWN UNTIL THE DAY BEFORE THE TRIP AND MIGHT BE SLOW TO RESPOND TO QUESTIONS. TRY TO CONTACT ME BEFORE FRIDAY MORNING.
