Alpine Scramble - Rampart Ridge (Snoqualmie)

Priority for Scramble students needing a graduation scramble.

  • Strenuous 3, Technical 4
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 6.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 2,400 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 5,870 ft
  • Pace: slow side of moderate

Travelers Rest at 7:30am.

Registration is prioritized for Scramble students needing scramble credit to graduate. If you don’t belong to this group please wait until Sept 2nd to register.

We will approach via the Lake Laura back-door route, which is relatively short but involves a steep climber’s trail.  Once at the summit block there are two alternative routes to reach the top: the spicy west face (T5), or a more mellow approach to the east via a series of ledges (T3). Participants are welcome to take either route on the ascent; we will all descend via the T3 route.

Hopefully we will enjoy some fall colors and blueberries. If conditions are unfavorable (rain, extreme heat, or smoke) we will try to offer an alternate destination.

Be aware that the road to the trailhead is rough, narrow, and overgrown and brush may scrape the sides of your car. High-clearance vehicles recommended.

More details to be sent to participants a few days prior.
