Alpine Scramble - Mount Wow

Scramble via the old Boundary trail route, which starts at the Nisqually Mount Rainier Entrance. This route actually aligns with the 9 mile round trip, 4400' gain Mteers route description. Meet 7:45am Gateway Inn just outside of Park so sold out 7am-3pm entrance passes do not apply.

7:45am   Gateway Inn, 38820 WA-706, Ashford, WA 98304.  Just before driving under huge log Rainier Natl Park entrance gate/sign.  Once together, we will park cars as a group near the entrance.

I called Rainier Park and spoke to a ranger who confirmed that we can legally park just outside of the Park entrance and walk into the Park to the old, unmarked Boundary trailhead. Gateway Inn is easy for cars to meet and drive  couple miles to north side of road - entrance.
