Alpine Scramble - Mount Catherine

8:00 am at the Travelers Rest area at Snoqualmie Pass.

This was originally to be a scramble of Mt. Baldy, but the access road is still blocked by snow, which would have added an extra 3 miles of fairly boring road walking.  Mt. Catherine is a pleasant snow scramble, with pretty good views through the trees at the summit.  We may have a better chance of finding a place to practice self-arrest than we would have on Baldy.

Snowshoes will be needed on this trip.
