Scramble and Basic Climb graduates only. Students are not permitted on winter scrambles.
REQUIRED GEAR:
- Ice Axe, helmet, crampons, Ten Essentials
- Snowshoes with agressive points on the bottom such as MSR.
- Avalanche Becon, shovel and Probe are not required, but highly recommended on all winter trips.
- We will need at least 3 shovels among our group.
Conditions permitting this will be a counter clockwise loop scramble of Point 5159', Howson Peak 5440', and Sasse 5730', and Not so Sasse 5568'. We will depart the Salmon La Sac Road near the Cle Elum River Campground. We will return to the Salmon La Sac Road near Red Mountain Campground.
6:30 AM Tibbetts Lot, 1675 Newport Way, across the street from the Issaquah Transit Center.
