Alpine Scramble - Foss Peak/Unicorn Creek

Let's enjoy a sunny day scrambling a Rainier 100 peak in the Tatoosh Range. If conditions and group strength permit, we may also attempt a summit of Boundary Peak. Crampons required.

Bench and Snow Lake TH, 7:30 a.m.

Portions are exploratory for trip leader. You should be comfortable ascending, descending and traversing steep snow. Crampons required if needed to climb the steep gully along Unicorn Creek. Expect to use both snow and rock skills.

Please have good physical conditioning, allowing a moderate conversational pace with short breaks, and a longer summit break.
