Alpine Scramble - Fay Peak, Hessong Rock & Mount Pleasant

Spend a beautiful weekend in Spray Park during early wildflower season, with backcountry camping below the Russell Glacier. 4-peak day to the Spray Park Peaks (listed above) and possible 2-peak day to Echo and Observation Rocks on Day 2. Kitsap scramblers have priority until July 1.

  • Technical 3, Strenuous 3
  • Challenging
  • Mileage: 14.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 6,000 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 7,200 ft
  • Pace: 1000ft/hr

TBD. Probably 8am, Carbon River Ranger Station to divide group gear, pick up permits at 8:30 and be ready to go when we get to Mowich Lake, since we may be parking pretty far down the road on a Saturday morning. Carpooling encouraged.

Sat. July 20 - Meet at Mowich Lake TH at 10am. Head to camp via Spray Park, drop heavy gear and go for Mount Pleasant, Hessong Rock, Fay Peaks and First Mother. Nice evening in camp.
