Larger-than-life, very strenuous double scramble. Complete with both snow and steep rock scrambling, up-close views of Rainier, and wildflowers.

This is a very strenuous double scramble, with tremendous rewards if good weather. Participants must be physically fit with good endurance, and confident on (somewhat) loose rock with height exposure. Observation is a snow scramble; Echo is a rock scramble.

There is a $15-per-vehicle park entrance fee for those who do not have an annual pass or America the Beautiful Pass.
