Alpine Scramble - Cashmere Mountain
Very long, strenuous 1-day scramble in Icicle Creek area, on 2nd day of 3-day weekend, to avoid traffic. Steepness is only moderate, but there is quite loose rock on the top 300'. Drive late Sat afternoon, tent Sat night in an undisclosed back yard in Leavenworth, and wakeup at 5am to allow for doing this peak in a single day.

Monroe Park & Ride, Sat July 2, 4:30pm.
Participants need to have excellent stamina for this 18-mile trip, and be OK with a short section of quite loose rock near the top. One of the best views of Enchantments / Mt Stuart from anywhere.
We will depart Monroe at 4:30pm on SATURDAY, & arrive in Leavenworth to set up tenting in a back yard. The location is walking distance from downtown & restaurants, allowing for a leisurely Sat evening. Hit the sack early, and 5am wakeup for short drive to trailhead. Unique opportunity for doing this peak in a single day while avoiding holiday campground crowds & holiday traffic.
