Fun, true scramble: starts on nice trail with significant off trail heather, rock slope traverse and boulder gully terrain.
It was a well led outing to a spectacular location. The participants were also a great group to travel with. This outing was my first hike with the Mountaineers. I look forward to signing up for more in the future. Thanks to Brian for leading my first trip .
Just when we thought the summer was drawing to a close, we managed a fantastic five-peak link-up, netting 6200' elevation gain over 14.5 miles.
Very steep, scrambly trail that leads to a spectacular lake basin in the southeast corner of the Olympics.
A wonderful scramble with a bit of everything: rock, scree, boulder fields, brush bashing, tarns, views, ridge runs, glorious meadows, and blueberries and huckleberries everywhere. Everyone on the trip was surprised that this scramble, so close to Seattle, so glorious, is done so seldom that it is still pristine.
Quick simple scramble with great views of the Stuart range and Teanaway.
Good day sail. Not much wind so we had to motor back but an enjoyable day none the less.
Wilderness scramble with awesome opportunity to see a receding glacier up front and personal.
Enjoyed a one day climb of Adams for Labor Day weekend. Encountered sun, sleet, snow and had a fabulous time.
After having a big Washington Pass weekend cancel, Rob and I took 3 Intense Basic students on their graduation climb of the Tooth on Labor Day. We kept a quick pace, hoping to beat any rain that came. Harley Sandoval, Den Locke, and Nick Anthony did a fantastic job!
