Fun day in the alpine on a scrambly route.
Wonderful trip for first-timers trying to photography the night sky!
Great bike/hike/scramble to a great Rainier vista.
Excellent! Got to try out several new "tricks" for me such as getting up/down from the kayak to a dock, how to exit the kayak close to the shore, but not at the shore so as to avoid breaking ways, review and practice of stern pry, bow rudder as we went thru the bay of Gig Harbor. Very instructional and light and friendly at the time time.
Route finding skills are required on this trip to avoid being cliffed out, particularly when leaving ridge to Cement Lake and then on to Boner Lake
We made the Summits of Wahpenayo and Lane thanks to a competent group of scramblers. Route finding was a group effort, that and good rock skills made for a great trip.
8/13/16 - Hot & strenuous, but rewarding scramble.
We successfully summited Cuthroat but took much longer than expected. Lots of loose and crumbling rock on the ridge and on the climb. We finished the final rappel with the light fading which forced us to navigate the steep talus and scree field in the dark which took a significant amount of time.
Foggy, only local views, flowers above about 5,400', wet tread, no other scramblers and few hikers.

Overall, a successful trip with good conditions.
Rob Busack and Sherrie Trecker completed the Ptarmigan Traverse over July 28-August 2, 2016.
Well worth a visit. Basin Lake was beautiful, and we had it all to ourselves.
Long approach, but worth the effort!
Perfect weather for this interesting volcano climb in the Three Sisters Wilderness in central Oregon.
An interesting and unusual loop trip through the Enchantments
