Successful summit to Mt. Dickerman. Bear sighting just off trail. 2 participants stung by hornets; benadryl and pain reliever given.
A late season traverse of Marcus Peak and Grand Park using the ridge NW of Marcus Peak (~5000' & ~16 miles). We staged a vehicle at Sunrise before heading out from Sunrise Point to save ~3 miles from a prior 2014 trip.
Bandera is always a great trip with mixed hiking terrain for a good workout
Gradual hike through lush old growth forest. There were many mushrooms along the way and fall colors were starting to show.
On a beautiful day, we climbed both South Ingalls and Fortune. Weather was mostly comfortable and the larches were colorful, though not yet at their peak.
On a beautiful fall day we scramble Lane Peak with a party of six, gaining 2,400' in 7 hours of travel.
Beware of bees on the Surprise Creek trail! Slab is slippery when wet and requires awkward bypass

Great trip. Hope to do this hike many times in the future. Donna was a great leader and directed our group to the best hike possible for the weather conditions.
Great objective in the ONP. Stunning views of Olympus and her Blue Glacier route.
This was my first experience with the Mountaineers and by the end of the day I felt like my day had been fun and fulfulling! Everyone was great, we helped the environment and made the lookout a more enjoyable place to see Washington's beauty. I give it a double thumbs up!

Turned around at the lake due to light snow and low visibility. Larches are beginning to turn.
Due to severe rain, wind, and dropping temperature we had to turn back on the 2nd day at 4.5 ml into it, walking 20 ml up and down to the car, but all of us were safely intact but soaking wet.
