Winchester Mtn. has the most spectacular views of the N. Cascades and Mt. Baker I've ever seen. High Pass is much less crowded and has close up views of Mt. Larrabee.
Amazing views everywhere.
Successful trip.
Beautiful weather and views. Crowded. No snow to speak of.
Easy climbing with a little of everything: dusty climbers trail, slippery but doable slab, a short glacier climb, scramble, rappel, and 36 switchbacks. Perfect weather and great group!
Two night trip to Sahale Glacier Camp with near perfect conditions.
This is an easy alpine scramble with the added benefit of ripe berries and lake swim
Very beautiful and strenuous (~15 miles, ~5000' gain) one way loop traverse of Wahpenayo, Cliff Lake, Denman, and Plummer with return to Longmire by way of Reflection Lakes, Narada Falls, and the Wonderland Trail.
Great trip, very doable as a one day.
Excellent scramble on a gorgeous day!
A spectacular uncrowded loop around Crater and Jack Mountains, with the option to camp on Devils Dome.
First time hike on a new route - mid-week, after work, urban hike. Part of the Everett "Staying Fit" series.
This was a full value climb that includes a bit of everything the North Cascades are known for.
trip cancelled due to everybody cancelling.
Single day outing with a hardy crew - 14.5 hrs car to car.
Great climb, crevasses all passable, couple snow bridges that will not last much longer. Missed the descent turn following the largest boot track and ended up on the Squock, at least 3 other parties did the same thing and had to trail back up RR Grade to retrieve bivy gear.
