Route conditions seem to be holding, but be prepared with navigation aids as the snow recedes and the boot paths fade.
Our everlasting summer we could see it fading fast
Paddled clockwise around Indian Island, starting and ending at Port Hadlock. With breaks at Fort Flagler State Park boat ramp, Mystery Bay State Park boat ramp, and during the portage across the Marrowstone/Indian Island isthmus. Returned to Port Hadlock via the Port Townsend Canal on the late afternoon ebb.
A short and blueberry sweet traverse of Mount Wow, with good air conditions, views of Mt Rainier, and some northwest original brush craft. Ascended past Lake Allen from the West Side Road, then descended via the Boundary Trail to the Nisqually entrance.
This is a "gentle" 3500' gain trip with a nice summit block in the last half-mile. Great views and rock. In case of wetness, there are several social bypass trails to the harder portions. The summit is huge, and can accommodate a lot of people.
8/26/18 hike canceled due to smoke from forest fires.
Wonderfull day completing 3 peaks: Banshee, Main-Cowlitz and Central Cowlitz.
Talus, brush, rocky stream beds, nice rocky summit.
Great later season climb of Glacier Peak.
Beautiful day of paddling. We reviewed info about currents, and wind direction along the way. We put in at a small pubic beach at Flounder's Bay and there was ample parking. Beach was at the end of Cabana Road next to chain- linked fence surrounding private club. It is not marked.
worthington and iron followed by olympic downhill screeing and a swim in buckhorn lake :>)
Too much smoke on this fun route. Glacier still in ok shape
A successful climb on a smoky day.
Fun 2 pitch slabby slab.
Great trip. Not your typical slog up to the top. Since this is late season, there many challenges to enjoy!
Peaks , pika squeaks and a hazy shade of wonderful at the lake.
Trip emphasized French and Front pointing, building anchors and V threads, traversing, and leading two pitches on ice.
