We attempted to climb both Fortune and Ingalls Peak. Fortune went, but Ingalls did not due to recent snow.
We set up a car shuttle, then paddled one way from Arcadia to Kennedy Creek area, where we took out.

Beautiful fall colors, ran into the first snow of the season at the top. Saw many different kinds of mushrooms. A few huckleberries still on the bushes to pick! This is such a fun hike with varied scenery: quiet forest trail, the Denny Creek waterslide, two waterfalls, talus slopes to cross with tantalizing pika chirps, berry bushes, crossing Hemlock pass then down to a beautiful Alpine lake with views of Chair Peak and others.
