Pleasant evening hike on an uncrowded trail
Great hike but with cool weather to match.
Beautiful day to hike this nice loop with views of Rainier, Crystal Mountain, Mount Adams, and lots of other nearby peaks. Super convenient to get to and park using the Crystal Mountain ski area anemities such as parking lot and bathrooms.
Beautiful round trip with rock scrambling, bushwhacking, scree down climbing, boulder hopping, back country navigating and ridge walking
Beautiful meadows with glorious views of the Summerland area, Little Tahoma and Mountain Rainier.
Beautiful meadows and expansive views of the west side of Mount Rainier, but without the crowds found in other places.
Nice 5 mile RT jaunt up into some beautiful alpine!
A beautiful climb, wonderful wildflowers, and a fantastic team!
Excellent hike up to Nannie Ridge and Sheep Lake. We hiked to the junction with the Pacific Crest Trail, just above Sheep Lake. On the way down, we took the side trip up to the old lookout site on Nannie Peak. Terrific views!
The group decided to go farther up to the junction with the PCT, then south to trail 97 to loop back to the main trail which added another 2.1 miles and 800 ft. of elevation. It was well worth it for the wildflowers.
Happy to have taken this trip as a 3 day. Allowed us to really enjoy the area and take our time for this special area
Nice hike with two lakes. Unfortunately no views today, good weather though. Peaceful with not too many people on the trail.
great view of basin, Emmons Glacier no longer visible.
Beautiful weather resulted in great trail and scrambling conditions. The views at the top were one of the best in the north cascades for the amount of effort required to get there.
Crossed through some North Cascades high country, climbing peaks along the way.
