This was a trip with a focus on identifying animal tracks & sign, in partnership with Conservation Northwest. We traveled across the Cascade Crest above the Snoqualmie Summit ski areas. Involved scrambling skills, but no summit. Connected between Beaver Lake, Lodge Lake, Divide Lake & Hyak Lake.

Caught a break in the rain for dinner with a view at the balcony.
Moderately steep snow scramble on a sunny spring day. Five students worked hard to get snow scramble credit
Perfect day for climbing with no winds, clear sky, good temp.
Paddle along an beautiful shoreline with expansive views of the San Juans and Olympic Mountains.
A hard, but beautiful and memorable experience. A great way to start the season!
warm, sunny day. dry and shady trail up to Poo Poo Point. Good trail condition. Some steep sections. Good conditioning hike due to elevation gain/distance. Many paragliders taking off.
The reason of my visit was to get a workout as well as take some photographs.
A great first trip on this new bikepacking route in northern Oregon.
We had a very nice paddle with pleasant people, good food, nice currents/waves with stunning views on a gorgeous glittering day! Photo: Jeff Evans
Great scramble route for students. Intermittent snow from the beginning with full coverage by the time we crossed the logging road.
Surprising Solitude on Squak Mt. It was a beautiful evening for a hike.
Great day out on the flanks of the "mother of waters". We headed out to Little Tahoma as a party of three for some skiing. Ended up being a 13h36 c2c day with a little shy of 17 miles of travel and 7.6k of vertical gain. We took the "low" route for easy glacier travel. No summit as we turned around ~100ft vertical shy of it due to the advanced hour, our level of exhaustion and the fact that the remaining choss looked utterly unappealing in ski boots. Great continuous skiing was had on the Whitman glacier.
Pivot from Shuksan to the Gardners for good weather. Got that weather...plus a lot of bushwhacking to get the skis back to Gardner Meadows.
Great trip around Bainbridge camping at Brownsville Marina.
