Successful hike to Ranger Falls and Green Lake, Mt. Rainier National Park. This hike was offered through Tacoma's Conditioning Hiking Series class.
A perfect, beautiful, incredible day, lots of fun and camaraderie!
3 Day private climb of Mount Terror (6/20/21-6/22/21).
Encountered heavy snow on trail at about 1 mile. Snow became eventually 1- 3 feet deep. Forced to turn around at about 3.6 miles due to a major stream crossing.
Close up views of Del Campo, Gothic Peak, Vesper, Sperry and others. Steep snow and areas of exposed scrambling during this time of the year.
Stunning solitary views on the SW aspect of Mount Rainier. A two day journey to 8000’ on the Success Cleaver.
Great group and good weather, but a very very crowded weekend at Baker Lake prevented a true wilderness experience.
This is a well-maintained and busy trail to a pretty lake with some camping. With fine weather, expect to see a lot of people and dogs.
Lots of snow left makes for a quick approach on The Tooth, and plenty of opportunity to posthole in the afternoon. Overall, great conditions!
One-night student backpack on Thunder Creek trail - a lush forest trail, abundant spring wildflowers and a few mountain views
We ascended from Ingalls Pass and descending to Longs Pass taking a moderate/slow pace with time to enjoy the great views. A few snow patches past the Ingalls/Longs trail junction but the ridge from Ingalls to Not Hinkhouse was dry.
Great weather to start. Sat in a cloud at the top. 9am-4pm trip with no issues.
Beautiful day with great views and wildflowers.
Excellent Ski day after resceduling in hopes of more favorable weather -- which paid off with clear skies and just enough breeze to avoid sweltering and mushy conditions.
