Great group of new and experienced snowshoers on good snowpack. We had views and sunny skies for lunch.

A spectacularly clear, albeit cold, day for our four hour 5 minute, 8.3 nm paddle from English Boom to Stanwood and back on the morning high tide. Spectacular views of Baker, the North Cascades, and the Olympics, along with many flocks of trumpeter swans along north end of West Pass.
2/22/22 Trip. Distance about 6 miles. Started at upper trailhead, Clear Creek Lodge. Two star rating due to poor snow conditions not because of trail system, area, or folks at Hardware Store or Restaurant
Stymied on Plan A and Plan B, Plan C proved workable.
Good, fairly easy snowshoe backpack, with reasonable camping along the creek side of Box Canyon Rd at several points between four and five miles in. The best is probably the clearing five miles in, just before the single left arrow sign, before the bridge over Box Canyon Cr.

We hiked to the Little Round Top , Sugar Cube , Mt. Erie , and Sugarloaf summits with great views .A trail extension to a Whistle Lake view point was enjoyed .

A fun and easy winter scramble in great conditions
Ended up as a great winter camping trip, recent storms made travel difficult and avalanche slopes on the upper mountain too likely to summit.
Deep snow prevented reaching the summit, but it was a great workout and still a beautiful morning in the woods.
Snowshoeing through a snowy woods to a frozen lake, it was a winter wonderland day.
Icy snow conditions but an experienced group and beautiful weather made this a challenging but successful exploratory backcountry ski trip.
