Foggy Seattle branch hike to Dege Peak on August 8 with a group of 7 hikers.
Great climb of a Cascade Classics peak with perfect weather, gorgeous route and adequate company.
Fine scramble to a rarely visited peak. Excellent weather allowed for stunning views of the Stuart Range.
I think this should be a T5, need to be comfortable on loose rock, only for advanced students and grads
Seattle branch hike to Crystal Peak on August 7 with a group of 9 hikers.
Steep but short hike to a fire lookout and great views of the weather cooperates.
Nice hike; great group. Most downed logs had been cleared from trail by the Forest Service. Mason Lake was completely melted out.
A great trip, weather was comfortable, a cooling mist at times keep us cool and enhanced the views. Followed standard route for Andrew and Tokaloo, 10 hours bike to bike with plenty of summit time.
Trip of July 30, 2016: We made good time with no incidents and a strong enjoyable team. The only drawback was a few too many clouds on the summit, but this was made up for by the pleasant scrambling conditions, which the clouds kept from being unpleasantly hot.
A glorious day with stunning view of Mt Rainier, Mt Adams, and in the far distance, Mt Hood. Wildflowers and butterflies bountiful.
Excellent weather. Very few mosquitoes. We went up the standard route.
Two night camp at Dewey Lake ; in on north side of Naches Peak loop, with dayhike to Cougar Lakes; out on south side of Naches Peak
Huge traffic jam in front of Gate to National park caused 2 hours delay. High winds made us turn at around 12000 ft. Many other parties turned around with us.
A beautiful and very strenuous four day alpine traverse (scramble, alpine climb, glacier climb) of ~14000' elevation gain and ~28 miles (~18 miles off trail) spanning July 29th through August 1st, 2016. Visited Tamanos, Main Cowlitz Chimney, and Little Tahoma carrying overnight packs most of the time.
A strenuous three-day trip with a fit team.
