Spectacular views of Mt Constance with unseasonably warm temperatures and a great workout at ~7 miles/~5000' gain to Point 5345 (a.k.a. Valhalla Peak).
Bluebird skies, no wind and temp inversion made for a lovely day.
Due to trail closure, the route to Green Mountain is about 4 miles longer than before; we stopped and enjoyed the views at Last Chance Promontory instead.
The beautiful weather ensured that sweeping views of Puget Sound were visible along the entire 3.2 mile loop around Chambers Bay golf course. After completing the loop, the group headed down to South Beach to enjoy lunch while watching a sea lion just off shore. A low tide beach walk capped off the trip.
It was a wonderful walk at night in Seattle. Peter, group leader, always shows us special sights and historical features which he has found when he researches the trips before we all go.
Excellent group made limited visibility and powdery snow a minor distraction
This was a pleasant opportunity to explore a new park in the City of Kent, including a scenic lake and some vestiges of earlier uses of the land. The trails are still in the process of development and wooden footbridges can be slippery when wet.
Despite the forecast for a day of rain, despite the rain falling at the meeting point, despite the rain falling at Longmire, we set out anyway. The rain promptly stopped and we had a nice ascent, until the rains returned with a vengeance and forced us to retreat just short of the summit.

7 of us snowshoed from Paradise Lodge up to Glacier Vista, toward Panorama Point and down past Myrtle Falls. Gained approx 1,100' - a route with varying terrain and views.

Pleasant first snowshoe trip of the season, went about 1.5 miles into Edith Basin, had lunch and returned before it got wet.

Insufficient snow at Narada Falls and limited snow at Reflection Lakes. Diverted to Paradise, where snow was also not deep, but allowed us to complete a snowshoe trip.

What a glorious day to enjoy the nature in West Seattle! We saw many seabirds from our vantage points along the shores of Puget Sound and had a beautiful walk in the temperate rainforest of Lincoln Park.
