Beautiful wildflowers were in full bloom. Trail was easy with few uphill climbs. Great group of people.
Beautiful area, but a tough climb where participants need to be very comfortable with lots of choss and exposed scrambling. The 3 pitches to the summit are easy.
I had been anticipating seeing the sea lions and had my binoculars out as soon as we spotted at least 75 of them on the distant rocks. I looked them over through the lens but didn’t see any wee ones. I was watching a big one that was either picking on or trying to flirt with a smaller one on the far right of the group when the alarm must have sounded. What happened next was pretty amazing. This is a challenging but very rewarding scramble to a seldom-climbed summit not far from the Hannegan Pass Trail. It's a very prominent peak and the summit (7020') views are even better than those from Hannegan Peak (6160').
Climb of Easy Mox and Hard Mox peaks in the Chilliwacks over four days.
Owl hike on Dickerman. Hiked up in the dark, camped out for a few hours, watched the (spectacular) sunrise and then hiked down. Somewhere between a day hike and a backpack.
Successful Intense Basic graduation climb of Eldorado Peak via the Inspiration Glacier.
The excessive heat and the voracious mosquitoes turned what should have been a great trip into a suffer-fest.
A backpack trip starting with a hike over Cascade Pass, a 1.5 mile side-trip to Doubtful Lake, then descending into Pelton Basin to spend 2 nights at Basin Creek Camp. We visited Horseshoe Basin on Day 2.
A fun and pretty straight forward day climb
Great trip with sometimes challenging conditions. 3' swell allowed entry into most of the caves and arches, and afternoon north wind gave a nice push back to the launch.
An enjoyable slower-paced three day scramble of Big Chiwaukum
Suffer fest with miles of up and down on endless glacial scree. If you really want to take home the Bacon, do this in a three day, or perhaps from a different approach.
Great team scramble, on a perfect day. Tracked on Gaia, with photos.
Successful Mount Constance climb via South Chute.
