A climb of Beta Peak, next to Mount Cruiser.
Straight forward scramble with an easy approach. Beautiful views when it's clear.
Great late August climb of Concord Tower / North Face.
Very long, but extremely fun multi peak climb and backcountry tour.
A solitary and gorgeous setting for grand vistas of Mount Rainier, meadows/flowers, and waterfalls too numerous to name (except of course, Pearl Falls ;). A strenuous multi-day trip for very experienced parties at ~25 miles and ~7000’ elevation gain.
Rain, slick tread, difficult trail on lower Sahale Arm, spectacular.
One day climb of Ruth only. Poor weather, Great Attitudes!

It was a beautiful day and a peaceful a hike through old growth forest to visit three different lakes. The trail crossed a section that burned in last year's wild fires and it was interesting to see the recovery of so many plants already underway.
Lots of rain.
Successful summit via the "toilet route"!
Hike primary in the forest until you get to junction to Thornton Lakes and Trappers Peak.
Early start on route. Descent was crowded with groups descending from South rib.
