Weather window provided near perfect conditions for a classic winter ramble through the Snoqualmie Pass backcountry.
Plan C offered us an enjoyable through hike in surprisingly good weather and snow conditions.
A rare sunny day to and around a lovely alpine lake with 6 inches of soft, fluffy snow over a hard crust.
Superbowl Sunday! Trailhead was nearly packed with cars. People were out in force to appreciate the fine day.
Gorgeous views of Lake Crescent on Happy Lake Ridge. A brisk day that began wet/blustery, but became calm and cooler in the afternoon.
Trail is 98% snow free, lots of small branches and a few small trees over trail. Creek was raging. We were lucky and no rain or wind that was predicted. Few people on the trail. Great nearby hike, dog friendly, easily accessible.
A good day outdoors, in spite of light snow and rain conditions.

Due to forecast rain and warm temperatures in the Snoqualmie Pass area -- we toured in the Blewett Pass area and found good conditions.
The hike was easy and the views were spectacular. Nice trip when you just want to get out and enjoy the snow.
