Scrambling
A 13-mile scramble with nearly 5,000 feet of gain to 10,358 feet in Oregon's Three Sisters Wilderness. From the summit, enjoy dramatic views of Broken Top, Middle Sister, North Sister, Mount Bachelor and on a clear day Mount Jefferson and Mount Hood. The mountain also contains one of the highest alpine lakes in the northwest.
Scrambling
A moderate scramble of 12 miles with 2,500 feet of elevation gain. It can be done as an out-and-back trip or a traverse. Enjoy spectacular and changing views much of the way, and wildflowers which are abundant in late summer.

The tallest peak in the Sisters range. It is an excellent climb on unique rock and is occasionally done as a traverse with the North Twin Sister.

Sea Kayaking
A reservoir in the Snohomish County PUD watershed. No combustion engines are allowed on Spada Lake making it a sea kyaker's heaven.
Backcountry Skiing
A spectacular, challenging ski traverse high in the Spearhead and Fitzsimmons ranges in British Columbia, Canada. It is a 20-25 mile route between the Blackcomb and Whistler ski areas, traversing 13 glaciers and 9 passes, and typically done in 2 to 4 days. This a long traverse across and under many steep slopes so pay close attention to avalanche conditions along the route.

Day Hiking
An easy two-mile loop hike around Spider Lake in south part of Olympic National Forest. It is good for wildlife watching and enjoying big trees, spring wildflowers, log bridges, waterfalls and marshlands. Great for families and all "kids" ages.
Backpacking & Day Hiking
Some of the best hiking in the entire Glacier Peak Wilderness with in-your-face views of Glacier Peak and ample opportunities to wander to Liberty Cap, Flower Dome, High Pass, and up to the flanks of Glacier Peak itself. Destinations include Spider Meadows, Spider Gap, Lyman Lakes, Cloudy Pass, Suiattle Pass, Image Lake, Miner's Ridge, Buck Creek Pass and 3.6 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail. The Spider Gap, Lyman Lakes & Buck Creek Pass Loop is a classic but very demanding 44-mile loop with 4,800 feet of elevation gain. Shorter but still challenging trips go out-and-back to Spider Meadows, Spider Gap, and Buck Creek Pass.
Scrambling & Snowshoeing
A snowshoe or winter scramble into the Henry M. Jackson Wilderness near Stevens Pass depending on the final destination. From the summit of wither of these peaks, enjoy views of Mount Rainier, Glacier Peak, Mount Stuart, Mount Daniel, Rock Mountain, and Mount Howard.
Scrambling
This is a very challenging scramble near Index with an all off-trail route of about 6 miles, 5,000 feet of elevation gain. The route goes directly up from the North Fork Skykomish River, finishing on the west ridge of the peak. A rope is sometimes used for short stretches of exposed climbing near the summit.
Climbing
A man-made rock formation at Sprinker Recreation Center outside of Spanaway, Washington. It was built by volunteers and the Army Corps of Engineers to promote rock climbing. It is a great facility for rock climbing education and training.

Easy day hiking on little locals trail that ascend from the valley floor towards Goat Wall near Mazama.

Day Hiking
A moderate 7-mile hike with 1,600 feet of elevation gain in the northwest corner of Mount Rainier National Park. This trail has it all—rolling woods, a large waterfall, wildflowers and tarns, and on a clear day, a great view of Mount Rainier.
Backpacking & Day Hiking
Enjoy spring wildflowers including hedgehog cactus and many other showy flowers, wildlife, geology and solitude as you explore trails and routes in Oregon's Spring Basin Wilderness. There are options for hikes and backpacks up to 8.2 miles into canyons, and to knoll viewpoints, and options both loop and out-and-back trips, all with views into the heart of the wilderness.
Day Hiking & Trail Running
Several miles of easy trails in the Issaquah Alps area between Renton and Kent to the east. This is a forested area between Spring Lake and Lake Desire that is home to unique plants such as Labrador Tea and 900-foot Echo Mountain with great views. Trails connect to Wetland 14 Natural Area, McGarvey Park Open Space, Petrovitsky Park, and Peterson Lake Natural Area for up to 11 miles of hiking.
Family, Naturalist, Urban Adventure & Urban Walking
This park is on the site of a private rhododendron garden established in the 1960's and is a gem to visit in May when the wide variety of rhododendron's are in bloom. It is a stroll on level grassy and barked trails through a labyrinth of easy trails.
