A fun day scrambling up a snow slope and an easy rock pitch. 5,400 feet elevation gain, 16hrs car to car (3am-7pm), 1 mountain goat.
Successful mid-week climb of the basic alpine route of Dragontail.
One day spring trip attempt of Silver Star Mountain via Silver Star Glacier/Burgundy Col. Team turned around due to time.
Changed destination from French Cabin Mountain. This easy alternative was a very pleasant trip with limited views but a nice variety of wildflowers.
We enjoyed dinner in the woods on a lightly raining evening.

A successful climb after a change of venue during a short window between spells of rain and cold - dry trail and hard snow on approach, dry rock and mild weather during the climb.
Enjoyable scramble of a peak which is not done often.
Solid Glacier travel with minimal crevasse openings at this point in the season.
Two pitch alpine rock climb with an airy move at the top, which calls for a blue tricam. Variable weather and lots of loose rock in the gully.
a moderate double peak scramble. it was entirely snow free.
Sunshine with snow flurries made for a fun day out in the Teanaway
Successful hike up to B-17 wreckage on a quite cool day. Rhodies were in bloom and the group was impressed with the wreckage. Trail is in good condition.
There was minimal amount of snow. Only one person used his ice axe, because he varied off the route slightly from the rest of the group.
A brisk morning sail from Kingston to Edmonds.
Great views of Deception Pass and the Straits. A great early trip when the mountains are still snowed in.
