Plan B when Sahale wasn't possible due to weather/conditions. A lovely, fun ridge run between these 2 peaks.
The weather forecast was iffy, but the six of us made the 3 Hour drive and had a great scramble.

Trip went as planned. A little breezy so we opted to paddle the shoreline to Gull Harbor and return. We played in small wind waves surfing. Back before dark, loaded. Everyone had fun.

Five of us started at the lower trailhead and went to the peak.
We hiked to Elbow Peak over Yellow Hill. A rough trail led to open ridge hiking with extensive views.
Enjoyable evening hike with dinner at a viewpoint.
We were fascinated by the twisted hulks of logging machinery left behind when the mountain blew. Were glad we brought extra water as we hiked through much open area. Some of us swam and waded in Coldwater Lake and found it not that cold in early September.
Guye Peak/West Face will offer bit of everything for a sunny summer day climb.
