Interesting route for snowshoers, with great views on top. Snowmobilers like the top of Microwave Hill too!
Beautiful views and just enough snow to remind you that WINTER IS COMING! Scramble basically became a fun snowy hike.
Nice and easy scramble year round and not far from Seattle. Especially nice when you want a change from the usual I-90 scrambles on the west side. Must go to Crater Lake Mtn as zero views from Blowdown Mtn.
Redirected to Upper Lena Lake (originally to Point 5803 SW of ‘The Brothers’, but ridge starting at 2100’ near Lena Creek was too cliffy and brushy to afford reasonable progress).
A scramble to a less frequently visited Teanaway peak in November conditions.
Rainy day but the views are probably beautiful if you could see anything through the fog and mist!
Successful navigation and summit of Mount Kent and then a side trip to McClellan Butte.
Any whale sighting is a welcome treat and this was the first time that I have seen a humpback in the Puget Sound which made this trip a special one. Photo credit: Terence Soh
Join the Tacoma singles Activities committee sponsored hike to Teneriffe Falls in North Bend area.
Change of location from Governor/Barrier to Buell/Barrier. Only was able to complete Buell due to poor weather conditions. Still a fun day of bushwhacking
A dramatic traverse of Hurricane Hill (Little River to Elwha River), with howling winds just scant hours before the arrival of the first winter snows.
Here's some picture to complement Gabriella's excellent report. First, the Middle Summit of Red Mountain from the South Summit.
Beautiful late fall day and good company makes for a fun scramble
Overnight push, 18 hours on the wall.
