A great group to travel with. The route on the ridge has no beaten path- we enjoyed making our trail, and venturing through varied forest, with frequent, broad views of the surrounding snow covered ridges.

We summitted Windy Knob and Tronsen Head (east of Diamond Head) in crystal clear weather and fine snow conditions.
Despite rainy/sleet/snow falling, a group of 5 new Alpine Scramble students, met at exit 20, with 2 leaders, to set off up Tiger Mountain #3 in brand new boots and bright outfits for an evening conditioner.
An exceptionally beautiful trip into alpine terrain above Paradise.
Fantastic Intermediate Climb
This was a nice loop trip over West Tiger 2 and 1 on a beautiful day.
A beautiful day with wonderful snow conditions in pleasant company! What more could a Mountaineer desire? Even though we were a small party of 4, we were able to complete a route variation that added mileage in moderately heavy snow conditions. Well-done all around!
A great 5000’ workout with good views of Mount Jupiter, Hood Canal, and sparkling Seattle skyscrapers in the distance (Mount Constance obscured by untimely clouds).
Beautiful sunny day and reasonably good snow conditions made for a great day in the mountains.
We explored Beach 1 south of Kalaloch; the Kalaloch area; Tree of Life; ended up at Ruby Beach for lunch and then hiked north to the mouth of the Hoh River, about 3 miles one-way. Best to do this hike near low tide.
Great snow conditions on a very satisfying loop groomed ski trail.
Not groomed added a lot more work but an awesome day with great conditions. Trail closed a mile 1/2 in due to avalanches. Cannot get to dam.
A really pleasant paddle on what turned out to be an unexpectedly nice day. Photo: Barb Motteler
A beautiful winter day on Mt. Rose yesterday!
