Not-So-Sasse Peak was the star of the day. Surprisingly nice day up high.
A straightforward but beautiful snowshoe from the base of the Silver Fir ski lift through the around surrounding Nordic Pass to the lakes that lie above.
Beautiful day, beautiful views!
Christmas Eve scramble on a beautiful clear day. Gaining the ridge right off the old trail without dropping to the lake was challenging due to not enough snow. Trip rating 4 due to the post-holing nightmare on the ridge.
Great trip, although weather and avy conditions forced a turnaround. Approximately, 3 feet of new snow and avy signs all around made for slow going and alternative routes.
Good hike in bad weather but we lucked out with no rain. It had more gain than the website says, 1120 to be exact. We ended up doing more miles as well.
Canceled due to land slide and road closure 2 miles before the Middle Fork Campground.
Soggy but successful hike on the shortest day of the year.
all students successfully passed the FT
trip cancelled due to lack of signup
The first real winter scramble for many of our participants. We had about 18-24" of fresh loose snow to wade through once we got to ridge.
mixed climb turned snowshoe with a great crew
Gorgeous ocean/alpine vistas, with unexpected sun and dry powder snow on this strenuous two summit trip of ~6000’ gain over 14 miles.
;Lots of crevasses between camp and bottom of route
