Private two-night backpacking trip to Pelton Basin with a day hike to Sahale Arm and Doubtful Lake. A great itinerary to make a challenging hike more accessible for people who like to go a little slower.
Caught perfect weather for a 3-day climbing trip back to Holden for Bonanza & Martin Peaks!
On a day when Seattle had a heat advisory in effect (7/15) 6 of us left VERY early (6:30 a.m. start on the trail) and enjoyed stellar views from the summit of Defiance and 45 minutes for lunch including wading/swimming.
Pure mountain magic. It was a fantastic day with breathtaking views, a fun and straightforward glacier route, a bit of exciting scrambling, and a rewarding rappel. Most of all, it was great company and a wonderful experience.
The trip was successful for Plummer Peak only. We did not attempt Pinnacle Peak. Only one scramble student showed up for the trip, and one student was a no-show. To help mitigate the situation and limit risk, we only climbed Plummer Peak, which has less risk than Pinnacle Peak.
Successful climb with summery conditions.
Beautiful day on a classic climb with a strong group of Basic students & LOT rope leads.
Recalling the explosion of Mt. St. Helens
A trip that mixed fact and fiction maybe. Sasquatch sightings start here.
Wonderful trip with 8 CHS-2 students to a marvelous lake. Bypass all of the Mailbox mobs and go a few more miles down the road for some solitude and splendor. You won't regret it!
Unforgettable trip - go hiking in the Lofoten Islands! Dramatic jagged peaks rising up from the ocean with endless views. In addition to the mountains, the Lofoten Islands are surrounded by white sand beaches and turquoise waters. You’d almost believe you were somewhere tropical.
Challenging hike to a bigly, like no one has ever seen, fabulous turquoise blue lake.
4 day IGC Experience climb of the Ptarmigan Traverse
Terrific two-day first mentored lead of Ruth Mountain and Icy Peak; under the clouds on Day 1 with clear skies giving us gorgeous views all around for Day 2. Congrats to IB students Jazmin, Christina, Kali, Devin, and Luke and honorary IB member Nick from Foothills on their first Mounties Glacier Climb!
Wednesday evening paddle launching from Boston Harbor.
Really fun, airy scramble with incredible views.
