Day Hiking & Trail Running
A quiet trail that follows South Fork Tunnel Creek on the Olympic Peninsula through old growth forest to the secluded Harrison Lake. For an easy to moderate hike turn around at the old but restored shelter. For a more strenuous hike continue to the lake and scramble to the ridgeline for splendid views of Mt. Constance.
Climbing
Climb three of Washington's 100 highest peaks in a remote area of the Glacier Peak Wilderness and North Cascades. This is a multi-day trip with some added logistics getting to Stehekin and interesting route-finding and off-trail travel.
Day Hiking & Trail Running
Enjoy some of the best views of San Juan islands from the summit of Turtleback Mountain, known as Turtlehead. It's an easy to moderate, 5.7-mile hike with 1,295 feet of elevation gain. There are several options for extending your trip and enjoying more of the Turtleback Mountain Preserve.

Twin Falls in Olallie State Park State Park is an easy, 3 mile round trip hike with just 500 ft in elevation gain. The trail goes along the South Fork Snoqualmie River with a short side trip to scenic waterfalls. For a challenge, continue past the upper falls along the Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail to Change Creek and Hall Point.

Hike to a pair of pristine lakes wedged in a valley between Chiwawa Ridge and the forested back of Dirtyface. A moderate hike of 8 miles and 1,1000 feet of elevation gain.

The Twin Sisters Traverse is a Grade II, Class 3 climb.

Twisp Pass is a strenuous, 9 mile in-and-out day hike with 2,460 ft in elevation gain. The trail goes up through forests and meadows to a pass below Twisp Mountain.
Packrafting
This is a class 3 whitewater run, 13 miles in length, starting at Buttermilk Creek Road bridge and ending at the confluence with the Methow River in the town of Twisp, WA, at Twisp Park. The first few miles are class 2 until the confluence with Little Bridge Creek. There the action picks up to class 3 for the next 4.5 miles, then tapers back to class 2 for the remainder of the run.
Backpacking
A strenuous 26 mile loop with 5,500 elevation gain over three mountain passes, beginning with South Pass, and continuing along the high divide between the Twisp and the Stehekin Rivers. See glacier-carved valleys, lofty ridges, jagged peaks, majestic old-growth and wildflowers. Camp in high alpine meadows.

Moderate hike of 6.6 miles round trip with 1530' gain. The Billy Ridge Trail #1413 travels through the site of a large 1994 fire to a lookout built in 1952. The original lookout was built here in 1931. The lookout can also be rented 6 months in advance on recreation.gov.

A 2,500-acre, family-owned, sustainable managed forest near Bremerton with primarily forest roads but few trails. The area is open to the public and allows hiking, biking, running, and dogs. Enjoy walking in woods, a cascading waterfall, a peekaboo view of the Cascades, and a partial view of the Olympics.

A 6-10 mile moderate hike with less than 700 feet of elevation gain through the lush Umtanum Creek Canyon. Hike through tall canyon walls looking for flowers blooming and wildlife who come to drink from the creek.

A trail that leads out of Yakima and Umtanum Canyons up to the top of Umtanum Ridge, offering views of Mount Stuart, Mount Rainier, Mount Adams, and Mount Hood.
Naturalist
The "bluebird trail" along Umptanum Road from Ellensburg to Selah is a great place to observe and photograph both the western bluebird and the mountain bluebird during nesting season, March and April.
Canyoning
Incredibly scenic views of Mt. Rainier, with an optional 9th rappel down iconic Martha Falls, within Mount Rainier National Park. (Paradise Side) - Please be aware of any entry restrictions / requirements.
Climbing
A 50 foot, mid 5th class, rock climb on sound rock on the south boundary of Mount Rainier National Park. Views of Mount Rainier, Mount Adams, Mount Saint Helens, and sometimes Mount Hood. Ice axe and crampons often needed in July to climb up steep gully just beyond Snow Lake. Times: 4-6 hr trailhead to summit. Consider traversing to The Castle instead of descending the climbing route. A great first alpine climb.
