Good day sail. Not much wind so we had to motor back but an enjoyable day none the less.
Wilderness scramble with awesome opportunity to see a receding glacier up front and personal.
Enjoyed a one day climb of Adams for Labor Day weekend. Encountered sun, sleet, snow and had a fabulous time.
After having a big Washington Pass weekend cancel, Rob and I took 3 Intense Basic students on their graduation climb of the Tooth on Labor Day. We kept a quick pace, hoping to beat any rain that came. Harley Sandoval, Den Locke, and Nick Anthony did a fantastic job!
Transit to Poulsbo for Viking Days 3rd of July fireworks, then to Port of Kingston/Appletree Cove, for 4th of July fireworks.
Transited from Union Bay, through the Ballard Locks, to Edmonds.
Transit from Edmonds to Lake Washington. With stops at Union Bay, Maydenbauer Bay, and Carillon Point.
Misty day with lots of ripe blueberries. We spotted 6 mountain goats on a nearby hillside.
Beautiful area and definitely worth the hike. Be prepared for variable weather. Was quite chilly up there, 41 degrees, with fog and mild breeze. The road is rough/washboard surfaced so choose one's transport vehicle with that in mind.
Seattle Branch hike to summits of Mt. Beljica and Gobblers Knob with 6 hikers starting from the Lake Christine trailhead.
Turned Around
Good weather. We were diverted to Joyce due to a wreck on Hwy 101, so we diverted to the Spruce Railroad and hiked for an hour on Lake Crescent until wreck was cleared and 101 reopened.
A successful climb on August 27-28th with two rope leads and three Basic students.
