A post-Thanksgiving urban hill walk on a beautiful day
The scenery was absolutely beautiful I saw a sea see lion eating salmon like 30 seals come off the beach to greet us on the other side after 7 mile paddling and three bald eagles .
Beautiful/strenuous loop traverse (~4400'/~13 miles) that ascends via Kautz Creek trail, and descends via Indian Henry's and the Wonderland trail to Longmire.
It was a great trip. Diverse habitats, diverse expertise, a renewing, refreshing, relaxing day!
Quick conditioner up Tiger and back - Rainy at first but cleared up nicely.
Great approach on Bikes, and hike in. Tough time consuming scramble.
Some brief moments of rain and wind added excitement to an otherwise calm and pleasant day of hiking among the trees.
Even though the trail was saturated with all the rain we've been having we all seem to be quite adaptable to the nature of things and enjoyed the adventure.
Enjoyed a great day with a group of Tacoma Mountaineers. Stormy conditions let us appreciate the occasional blue sky, sun breaks all the more.
Party of 4 summited Lookout Mountain in North Cascades on 11/11. We hiked first 4000 ft and decided to turn it into a proper scramble for the last 500 ft.
A short but interesting hike. The weather, as anticipated, was wet but not bad.
The Mount Washington Day Hike was a good one, but also very wet. In places you could see water dripping off overhanging rocks covered with moss. Definitely a good hike, but preferable on a nicer day.
The 4 of us rugged paddlers braved the rain and wind to paddle around Stretch and then Reach Island.
Strenuous 'bad weather' consolation trip (originally Buckhorn Mountain) to Mt.Constitution of ~14 miles and ~4500'.
Awesome community work. Great group of volunteers working hard in the rain to re-plant the Cheasty Greenspace.
As a rainy day was forecast, the trip was changed from a scramble of Yellow Hill/Elbow Peak to a Rattlesnake Mountain grand traverse hike, from Snoqualmie Point to Rattlesnake Lake.
