This trip involved two simultaneous capsizes and was abandoned.
Amabilis Mountain was a back up destination due to the high avalanche conditions. The waist deep powder made it a bigger adventure than we bargained for!
Nordic Pass on snowshoes was plan B (replacing Pratt Mountain scramble) due to weather and avalanche conditions.
Change of destination due to high avy conditions, originally Mildred Point.
With stormy weather at Snoqualmie Pass and with the road to Mailbox closed by a jack-knifed semi, Mt Si and Dixie became our last-minute substitute destination.
Lots of low elevation snow enabled us to use snowshoes starting from the cars. Followed the summer trail the whole way, which is generally easy to follow, but there are a few spots in open areas where we had to look at Gaia to see which way it went. Windy and cold on the summit ridge, but protected in the "tree fort" at the summit. Great day.
WE cleaned out and organized the lookout locker in the barn.Returned tools from the season's work and did some inventory of the tools. Ran the trails to determine what trails to use for are basic trail maintenance workshops.Total 12 volunteer admin. hours.
Gorgeous views of Mt Constance from the summit of Point 5345 and a great workout of ~8 miles and ~5000' gain.
Fine trip, knowledgeable leader and assistant leader, fine time to be outdoors.
Arrowhead is a winter wonderland with lots of heavy, unconsolidated snow. We broke most of the trail, go NOW!
Mt. Washington training hike moved to Tiger due to weather.
This was a paddle trip starting at Bowman Bay, playing in the flood and ebb in the passes, and returning back to Bowman Bay.
A very enjoyable short walk with genial hosts who invited us all to their house afterwards fro soup, coffe and cake.
two miles up steep trail to snow level, than 2 more miles on snow shoes to the summit under blustery scattered snow showers. Great trip.
Our Lake 22 Day Hike went well although it was very wet. All of us would have been very happy to have had nice weather. This is a very pretty hike and is at its optimum during the summer and fall.
Destination was changed from Copper Creek due to weather and conditions. Nice day out in light rain, beautiful rain forest-like trail.
Great day. Lots of snow. Road is a little tricky, you have to park lower on the road
