A gorgeous (and strenuous ;) day in the North Cascades with too many peaks to count in all directions.
Excellent conditions, beautiful day. Opted not to cross the first log bridge at 3,500.' Instead kept east of the creek and summer trail, crossing the creek at the bridge at roughly 3,840.' Turned around at 4,000.' Kept an easy pace for a round trip travel time of 4 hours.
Snowshoe trip to Kendall First Knob on a glorious blue bird day!
Made a 12 mile loop that was fun and interesting and not crowded.
Glorious weather + great group members = A+ day
Soft snow with lots of open areas due to run off made this snowshoe more challenging. We also skirted Beaver Lake on the NW side to avoid any glide avalanches from opposing cliffy area.
A pleasant walk through the woods, great for a rainy day (bonus: the Falls were running very strong)
We found dry weather, sunny even, in a loop trip near Blewett Pass.
Despite the rain, we had a nice walk and hike on the urban paths of Issaquah Highlands and a portion of the Grand Ridge Trail.
Elliott was a great trip leader, and would be happy to go on any other hikes he plan's.
We managed to stay dry while taking on the 500 plus stairs of this Mercer Island stairway walk, the final walk in the Seattle Stairways guide book.
A great workout and team building trip when other venues were rendered inaccessible due to deep snow and excessive avalanche hazards.
Winter scramble of 5050 pass and Vahalla Peak.
