Successful scramble of "winter route" from Narada Falls to Reflection Lakes and then up to the ridge with a west approach of Foss.
Very pleasant trip, easy walking well informed leader with scope and easy to talk with Leader, Stewart.
Climbed Rainier up the Gibraltar Ledges route and down the Ingraham Direct route.
Enjoyable scramble despite occasional wind and rain. Pretty good views below the clouds, especially of the peaks along the Cascade crest.
A strenuous and beautiful snow scramble (~20 miles, ~5300’ gain) with blue sky views into the central Olympics.
Great early season scramble to practice snow travel skills including self-arrest and glissading.
This was my first hike as a leader for the Singles Activities Committee. It was partly sunny with a nice breeze, the trail conditions were excellent and it was low tide when we hiked down to the beach on the Fairy Dell Trail.
Short weather/avy window for this one, but well worth trying. Absolutely stunning views!
Great Cracks and alternate routes on zigzag
We pretty much had the lake to ourselves since the observatory is not open yet. Excellent weather to hike in but it was a bit breezy at the end of the lake where we had our lunch break. There is a challenging waterfall to cross at the two mile mark. We saw an eagle, geese and a doe.

Beautiful evening to enjoy dinner at the falls.
The goal of this trip is to get to a nice location with a relatively dry weather for basic climbing students to practice all glacial travel skills. We chose the spot at about 5420', right below the north face of Diamond Head. This was a great location for its ample space for camping, a range of slopes and snow conditions for roped travel and crevasse rescue, and a gorgeous view day and night as a treat. Both students and instructors enjoyed the trip.
Successful, more or less. Two people decided to head back to the cars, once we reached the junction with the Lost Lake trail. The rest of us decided turn around after another hour. It was growing late, we had the drive back to Seattle ahead of us, and lots of mosquitoes pestered us.
Successful summit to Cowboy mountain. Turned around on our attempt to Big chief due to snow and route conditions. Experienced group, great group work. Excellent glissade and quick and safe trip
The weather is wet. But club youth did great and summit successfully.
A beautiful, sunny midweek trip for SeattleScrambleStudents
A quick change in the weather made for an enjoyable weekend ascent.
