while the weather was questionable, it was just the two of us in a winter wonderland.
Mt Angeles Winter Route attempt.
Great weather, good snow, fun group and fantastic views. The winter route snow chute was a bit of a plunge stepping or snowshoe sliding suffer-fest on the steeper sections, but the summit was well worth the effort.

Challenging and enjoyable conditioning hike in sun and snow.
Gorgeous views of pristine North Fork Soleduc valley and Mount Olympus beckoning beyond on this 9 mile and 5000’ elevation gain trip.
While this destination was our second choice, changed from Castle Bump in the Tatoosh due to avalanche conditions, we had a fabulous time at this Plan B destination.
A walk up road 6830. The ridge was out of reach.

Turned around at bottom of Zipper because of 40 CM of loose unconsolidated new snow and late start.
Objective was Zipper. 18" fairly new snow and 0900 Longmire gate opening. We elected to not attempt the climb after snowshoeing to near the base of the Zipper climb, due to time available and the unconsolidated snow to the base of the climb.
A trip on the crest of Wenatchee Crest. Stepping off the road track, that was packed boot solid.
Great option for a snowy day with clouds, hence no views. Beautiful forest.
Beautiful day. Great views. First group on the trail. Had Granite Lakes all to ourselves. Littlesnow st the beginning of the TH. Snow progressed. Postholed towards the end.
Pleasant short snowshoe hike to Humpback Creek from the Annette Lake trailhead.
A lovely, dry day with glimpses of blue sky. We skied on freshly groomed trails.
