Beautiful clear weather day for a Car to Car. Fall colours all over will trail past the overgrown sections in great shape. Also an awesome group of people, made us do the round trip in 11.5 hours
A dramatic, beautiful, and strenuous traverse with much first hand evidence of glacier recession (climate change), as well as exposure to the unique route finding skills needed for coping with it. A botanist’s delight, this trip spans the Montane, Sub-Alpine, Alpine, and Nival (Snow) Zones.

Hit the small weather window that gave us the perfect conditions for Mt Stuart. The few inches of new snow made the trip a little more interesting.

We ascended the WNW ridge of Bean, descended the ridge running to Volcanic Neck and exited via Beverly Creek.
Beautiful weather on this late summer hike to Crystal Lakes. We began hiking at around 9am, spent about an hour at the lake (including a short walk around the lake), and were back at the cars by early afternoon. It was a successful enjoyable day.
