A long, three day trip deep into the Pasayten Wilderness in the North Cascades. Climbed Remmel Mountain, Cathedral Peak, and Amphitheater Mountain.
Late season trip up the Kautz ice chute in an unusual year.
Led a fun group of 8 participants (included assistant Travis Prescott) up the north route of Guye on a warm summer evening with an amazing sunset.
Rough road. Panoramic views of the North Cascades from the ridge!
Great workout, 1500 ft of the gain in first couple miles. Amazing views, there were no bugs to speak of when we went on 8-29-21.
2-day scramble of Chickamin Peak
You can’t get much better than this gorgeous alpine loop. A counterclockwise direction (ENE ridge for the ascent, SW ridge for descent) gave us stunning views of Mt Rainier and Little Tahoma for most of the day, albeit with tons of folks on the final trail hike back to the cars.
Successful evening hike up Lil Si! Oleanna’s first official Mountaineers trip!
Very fun climb; incredible views from the ridge and summit.
Excellent climb in late season conditions.
A varied and fun rock climb that goes straight up the south face of Prusik
6-7 pitch 5.10+ climb in the Enchantments with fun jamming and a spectacular ridge finish
A group of six of us just completed a three day 27 mile backpack that took us through the highlights of the Goat Rocks wilderness. It was a great trip and the really good news was that the wildfire smoke and haze was not an issue since the prevailing winds worked in our favor. The weather was not perfect for all three days but still not bad. All in all a very fun trip in a spectacular area with a really nice group of committed and enthusiastic backpackers.
An fairly easy scramble complicated by a brush bash ending with some nicer views than expected.
Perfect day to tag the summit all the way from Big Creek! Clear, cool, uncrowded. Photo of Mt. Washington from Ellinor's summit.
