One of the most lovely trails off of Highway 410! Steep in the beginning but the surroundings, waterfalls and views make it so worth it!

Trails are in decent shape, not much snow on the route. Trail from Crescent Lake is a watercourse in places. . 9 hrs 45 min C2C with 30+ minutes at Mastiff and 45 min at Howard summits.
The NF Nooksack Near Glacier gauge was reading 850 CFS. This was a fun level. We were able to easily scout all class III rapids in the upper canyon section. The reach from Gallop Creek to Milepost 27 was a blast of nearly continuous class II ramps with fun wave trains.
The Sauk River Near Sauk gauge was 5900 CFS when we put in and 5700 when we took out. It was pushy and challenging III+ from White Chuck to Whirlpool with some big holes and breaking waves.
Great 12hr car-to-car trip with well-prepared students and dialed instructors!
A gorgeous and lonesome loop, made especially so by the loss of the Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center (and the subsequent closure of the Hurricane Ridge Road). A 10pm ‘late in the day’ closure of the Hood Canal Bridge added a bit of time pressure spice for this 5000’ gain - 17 mile traverse.
Successful summit via Sulphide Glacier and SE Ridge.
A half day classroom session on chainsaw safety, PPE, and practices, followed by a half day of field practice.
Great trail to Pete Lake! Hiked in to the first big camp, then day hiked to Lemah Meadows. Great group and beauitful trip!
We made our first trip of the year to Mt Rainier for this scenic hike to three waterfalls. The weather was good, the crowds were manageable and the snow was mostly gone.
An unexpectedly rainy and wet backpack up the wild Duckabush River valley. Awesome crew saved the day!
