Discover Dirty Harry’s Museum. There are multiple viewpoints along the way. We’ll follow the road-to-trail conversion of the Dirty Harry's Peak trail to Dirty Harry's Balcony. Then, continue to Dirty Harry’s Museum and beyond.
Beautiful afternoon paddle around, and over Leque Island, with 6 of us in the packrafts. We saw a lot of birds, and a seal, and managed to be back in time to watch the last bit of sunset from the parking lot.

Bikepacking overnighter up on the Palouse to Cascades trail – with a twist: riding after sunset to discover the beauty & thrills of night riding under a full moon. Trip was successful, with several riders not only discovering night riding, but also how to deal with below-freezing temperature when riding and sleeping under the stars.
On a perfect mid-autumn day on this trail at the north end of Lake Cushman, we did not find what we expected, and had a much more interesting day instead.
A gorgeous transition season traverse with absolutely perfect weather (albeit a bit chill ;). The shorter day kept us moving right along, and with the normal closure of roads into the White River area we had the north side of Mount Rainier all to ourselves.
Beautiful day to be out on the Muir Snowfield with ~3000' of good skiing to be had.
This lovely trail is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Spring wildflowers are plentiful and amazing; fall colors are stunning and remind me of fall in the midwest where I grew up.
In Feburary 2023 three instructors and six students traveled to Ouray Colorado for three days of water ice climbing. During the day the party split into two groups and climbed at the east end of the park at the School Room, New Funtier, South Park, and Upper Bridge Wall crags. In addition to climbing participants gathered for evening discussions on crampon setup and tool sharpening.
Beautiful fall colors on a blue sky day. The lake was beautiful with the peaks reflected in the water.
A gorgeous way to end the summer season. With the closure of the Mowich Lake Road we saw no other persons until Florence Peak and our descent to the cars. Warm temperatures, great views, plus an imminent evening storm to keep us focused on our time, we had a wonderful workout on this 19 mile/4500’ gain trip.
