Scrambling
A strenuous and technically challenging scramble in the North Cascades Pasayten Wilderness with great views. It's 31st on the Bulger List of Washington's highest peaks and is 14 miles round trip with 6,100 feet of elevation gain.
Urban Adventure
Located in Bellevue, the Robinswood Tennis Center is one of the few public tennis centers with superb indoor courts.
Day Hiking
A moderate hike of 5 miles round trip, gaining 1,700 ft elevation to a summit in the Capitol State Forest near Olympia. Enjoy unobstructed views north to the Olympics. The route follows maintained and way trails, along with a bit of abandoned and current road through second growth forest.
Backpacking & Day Hiking
Forest and meadows and high country rambling towards Carne mountain.
Canyoning
An unexpectedly fun and scenic half-day creek in the Skokomish River valley. This canyon is rated v3a4II early to mid-season and v3a3II in mid to late summer.
Day Hiking
Hike three miles along the Middle Fork Snoqualmie River with some moderate up and down along an established trail. Then cross the Rock Creek and hike up switchbacks on a steep rocky trail to Rock Creek Falls and then on to Snow Lake in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. It's 12.6 miles and 2,700 feet of elevation gain.
Backcountry Skiing, Day Hiking & Scrambling
When there's snow, scramble to a summit on Nason Ridge that is significantly higher than the crest of the Cascade Mountains to the west. Enjoy the views from this high point that is 11 miles round trip with 4,300 feet of elevation gain.
Day Hiking
Rock Mountain via Snowy Creek is a strenuous, 9.8 mile day hike with 3,250 ft in elevation gain. The trail cuts up steeply through forests and meadows to the Nason Ridge and an old fire lookout.
Scrambling
A moderate scramble of 8.0 miles and 2,700 feet of gain, Rock Thunder is the unofficial name for the peak located 0.75 mile east of Snow Lake near Snoqualmie Pass.
Day Hiking & Naturalist
Hike through the old-growth forest on the easy to moderate Evergreen or Fern Creek trails. Or overlook the Skagit River on Sauk Springs and Skagit View trails, each are a one-mile, easy hike. The West Loop Interpretive Trail is a one-mile ADA trail.
Backpacking
Ranking among the premier scenic and wildflower backpacks in the Canadian Rockies, the Rockwall Trail offers abundant opportunities for photographers and seasonal delights for wildflower and larch viewing. It's a moderate to strenuous 4-6 day backpack in Kootenay National Park with options for loop trails and a side trip to Goodsir Pass. Between Helmet Falls and Floe Lake is exceptionally scenic travel over four passes along the towering Rockwall peaks and hanging glaciers, and expansive wildflower meadows.
Packrafting
Packraft a 35-mile, Class III+ - IV- section of the Rogue River, one of the original Wild and Scenic Rivers and a classic whitewater run.

Hike or backpack up to 40 miles along the Rogue River. This trail showcases southwestern Oregon's beauty and the spectacular, wild Rogue River, which winds through dramatic rock gorges.

Scrambling
A moderate winter scramble to the peak about 0.75 mile southeast of Old Blewett Pass. It's 8.0 miles round trip and 2,800 feet of elevation gain.
Day Hiking
At just over 5 miles round trip and 1800 feet of elevation gain, the Round Mountain trail offers nice views, and a good half-day hike for those looking to explore the Goat Rocks Wilderness without too much off-pavement driving.
Scrambling
A scramble near Darrington that is a good winter route when you can drive a few miles of the Forest Road 1890. The route is usually 6 miles round trip and 3,400 feet of elevation gain. Despite it's modest altitude, Round Mountain ranks as the eighth most prominent mountain in Washington, and as such it, enjoys commanding views.
